Glenn, what are you using, strict, strict seasonal or alternate reality? Tru-life development and age-based fatigue/durability, along with early entry of new players. I used early entry primarily to make sure Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Don Newcombe and Duke Snider were Dodger minor leaguers in 1946.

The Giants edge the Cardinals 6-5, so the Dodgers are just 1 game behind tying for the lead. Hal Newhouser* leads the majors with 6 shutouts. Bill Bevens is second with 5.
Team notes: I am considering moving Jackie Robinson to 1B and making Irv Hall our full-time 2B. Ed Stevens is an excellent defenseman at 1B, but has a weak bat. Howie Schultz is simply average. I'll have to look for a good all-around 1B in the offseason, as I'd prefer Jackie to play 2B. Our strengths are obviously our pitching and our defense. With the trade deadline approaching, I'm not sure if I'll be able to pull off an acceptable deal for a first-class young 1B.

WP: Gregg (7-4) LP: Wyse (5-9) SV: Casey (10) POG: Bruce Edwards (1 of 4 with a double, a RBI and a run scored) Att: 33,477
The Cardinals win, so we're still 1 GB them. In the AL, the Red Sox lead the Tigers by 1.5 games.
Trade news: we send 1B Howie Schulz to the Indians for 2B Dutch Meyer. Meyer will be Irv Hall's backup. With Robinson switching to 1B, Ed Stevens will be his backup.
