As I read this I can see how excited Shaun was while he was developing PureSim Baseball. I remember how excited I was to get my hands on the game the first time. He released it in a Alpha form of the game for testing. There was magic around this process. I would love to relive those days. I miss all of the people who were helping test Shaun's new game. Man what fun we had. web.archive.org/web/20000819120943/http://www.puresim.com:80/des1399.asp Don Braswell

Yes, Don... we had one of the most lively forum, in the same format of OOTP's forum...
We had Dynasty reports.. Pudge27 DB, that had included Old Time Negros Greats... many different league Assns to download and try it out... we had Padres Mod website... we had a slew of interesting debates... we really had a very nice long run... Gosh, How I long for that crowd, many had moved on - possibly to OOTP's forum... yeah, I had high hopes for Shaun's return but it had ran dried in the last three years...
Thanks for bringing this into the post of nostalgia times...

I actually have been Pure Sim since the iteration of Pure Sim 3, I wasn't a big message poster, but the Forum Banter was always rock-solid, and the "game" (Pure Sim Baseball) seemed that it had no boundaries, the new Messiah, the New Frontier to put up vs. SoM, Diamond Mind BB, Baseball Mogul, OOTP, Action! PC, Digital Diamond, Cactus League, (those being all the ones that set the PC Sim Standard) and then a few various PC Sims I have long since forgotten about... I just wanted to mention that I put together a set of Player Photo Templates, from 1920 until 2012, most Seasons. Two problems: The file size for all of these Seasons combined is well over a Gigabyte. Secondly, the Seagate Backup Drive needs to be rebooted or something #$@*&^. I tried their free sample Test, and yes! it will recover everything on there, but a refract costs $50.00, so maybe next month (I can save some cash) and complete that project. I always have a place for Pure-Sim, as 1) I can replay 1994 Season all of the way thru, and 2) having the option to play most Seasons "As Played".
