Is there any way to create a player and modify their ratings, potential, etc.?

Hey, WELCOME to the PS World...
Go to Main page...
Look at bottom options: PLAYERS... click...
You'll see a listing on left side taskbar: Create a Hitter/ or Pitcher
Then you can modify the numbers to your liking...
But be careful, that it doesn't balloon to extreme numbers over time...
That the player can and will win every MVP/CY Young every year....
Easy on the 'roids... LOL
Luck of the Irish to you, lad...

Hi and thanks for the welcome. Actually, I have been a PureSim user/player almost since its inception. I lost all my previous versions and user information several years ago after a dew HD crashes. I'm glad to be back though and ecstatic that Shaun is 'resurrecting' the game! As for the 'Create Hitter' feature, only the 'Edit Player Biographical' page pops up. There are no ratings or potential ratings shown, nor anywhere to 'edit' any. I know this was an option in previous 'paid' versions, but not v6.12b

Legs...
Glad to hear you're back... (Did you use another ID, before?)
Maybe, I misunderstand your saying...
But, You can add a number to each contact, power, and so on... can change anything on that "'Edit Player Biographical' Page...
Can change their defense, age, potential, etc...
Funny, that's the only page I have been using whenever creating a player or pitcher ( my mind is kinda foggy if there was another option since 2005?)...
Was there another way... cause I'm confused...LOL
WAIT!! ... are you saying you don't see contact, power, speed... or even their defense... at all??

I was almost certain my user name was legs37 but might have been quad75. My email address was not recognized so I just created a new profile. I am definitely a pre-Matrix Games PureSim guy. I'm old! lol

Hey... I remembered Quad!!
Listen... you are definitely missing a bunch...
Let me ask you a question... what is your OS?
What you may need to do is to place your Mods, your psa folder to a safe folder, because of your game already current...
Uninstall your PureSim game and reinstall the latest PS game... you are definitely are missing that selection... for I have them and I see you don't...
Thanks for showing your image... after the installment then go ahead and replace the mods and your psa folders... you should, hopefully, be good to go...

Hey Jabez54, thanks for all of your help! My operating system is Windows 7 Professional. I followed all the steps you suggested, including installing and reinstalling version 6.12b of PureSim Baseball from the link on the homepage. When I click on 'Players' and Click 'Create Hitter', I get the same screen that I pasted in my response. Is there another version of the game that I can access? I really want to create a couple of players (without over inflating their attributes. :-)) for my fantasy team. I miss the old versions of PureSim, as they were so customizable and I love to play the game. I also had OOTP Baseball, and although it had all of the features I like, it still doesn't hold a candle to PureSim. Hopefully I can help Shaun and the rest of the game to back to its former glory, and hopefully much farther!! Anyway, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, I'm quite certain I still have my receipts (serial numbers?) from previous games if I were able to get my hands on the EXE files. Thanks again! Legs37

Crap, Legs37...
I wouldn't think it matters if you are using less than W10... Hmmm, Are you using IE as your default setting or another... If another, try setting IE as your default instead...
Otherwise, I'm perplexed as you are...
Anyway, the good news... Shawn working on a new Version...
Can't wait...

OK, I haven't played PureSim in awhile. So here goes, open your association. At the bottom of the game screen click on players. Then at the bottom of the menu on the left hand side of the game you should see create a hitter and create a pitcher. Click on the one of your choice and the game should walk you through the process. Do not forget to edit Name, Ratings, Age, Height, weight, etc. Hope this helps you to get started.

Hey, Don...
It's not that... there are no selections available for him to edit... a completely empty area... look at his image he had shared with us...
Weird, huh...
Thanks for chiming in, though

Tomas, looks like a glitch or bug. If reinstalling the game after a fresh download did not fix it. Then we need Shaun.

I'm new to Puresim though I have known about it for some time ... loved my BBPro98. Being new I am reading all the available in-game notes to better familiarize myself with the specifics of the game. I had the same blank screen at first, but also read the note on the ratings setup page that you can only see/edit player ratings if the ratings scale is 1--100. My first league was set to 1--20 thus I could not edit. I went to association settings and temporary changed the ratings scale back to 1--100, then when I went to the players screen the ratings are visable and editable. After you make the changes, you can go back and put the ratings scale back to your desired scale.
Hope this helps, worked for me anyway ... douglas

The problem now is that there's no way (I can find) to change the 'star ratings' once you've created a league. I had to start from scratch. Any ideas?
