I'm running a replay of the 1987 season in trulife transaction mode, where the league average ERA was about 4.25 combined. I've been noticing that borderline bad pitchers with low velocity and control are giving up astronomical numbers 2 months into the season. I'm talking ERAs of 15-20 and hit rates 3-4 times the # of IP and many more walks than Ks. Is the latest version of PureSim rough on scrub pitchers in general or should expect the numbers to settle down later in the season? Also, many of these guys only pitched in say 3-4 games in real life, but are already up to 7-10 appearances in 2 months. Will these guys eventually be sent down to the minors or cut later in the season before they kill their teams' bullpens?

Well I know it has been awhile since the person posted but I am playing the '87 season and I will be interested to see if I have the same issues as them.

devilzzz, I've concluded that this issue is just part of the game. I finished my 1987 season and the overall numbers are pretty good as far as accuracy. It's just those pitchers with velocity or control ratings below 20 or 30 that get hammered and produce unrealistic stats. I'm running a random draft 2015 league right now and am running into the same issue with current pitchers with low vel/con ratings. Unfortunately the AI GMs and managers are not very good at dealing with these players and end up promoting them and putting them in games and letting them get bombed. I've had to step in and manually drop some of these guys from AI rosters and sign free agents with vel/con ratings of at least 50. You might want to do the same if the AI is keeping these guys around well past their real life appearances in a straight season replay. Let me know how your '87 replay turns out.

With tru life transactions, it should also have had something that the owners can only use the guys like they were used in real life. If a SP had 15 starts and 10 reliefs, that is all you get from him. If a player had 50 in the OF, 20 at 1B and 20 at DH. Each time he is used in one of those, the number goes down and once used up, cannot continue to be used. It would make lineup juggling even more interesting.
