One of the most classiest mate, ever to don on the MLB uniform !!! ... I have the most utmost respect and admiration of him as a player, person and as a human being ... we are so fortunate to witness an elite player, as The Closer, for all those seasons ... UNFRIGGINIEVABLE !!! ... his record will be the ultimate challenge, for any closer, for years to come ... I couldn't say anything better than what Monk said, but Thank you ... and Thats Baseball ...

Really saddened by the Sandman's exit because he's my favorite Yankee. A lot of times I watch the Yankees' games just to watch him pitch... I agree, Tomas - he's a class act. Also, he's gonna be one tough act to follow...

I have always had great respect for "great individuals" that played for the dreaded HANKEES! I accepted the "greatness". I never liked the team or uniforms. I could and still do keep things like that separated. I will miss "the last 42". I hated to see him come out to finish the game against my "Indians". I hate those HANKEES. But I can say that I loved the "individual". "#42" had class. He was a great player. I will never take that away from him. Now: I can root for my 1A TRIBE and my 1B team CARDINALS this coming October!!!! Thanks for sharing. I had not seen this clip, but I had seen/heard a great deal of this moment.

I have always had a great dislike for the Yankees, but I thought that last Sunday's tribute to Mo was very classy. It is always tough to see an athlete who from all impressions seems to be a very humble and great person leave the sport. Too many times we are always hearing about all of the idiots in sports that sometimes we forget there are some really great people who play the game as well.
