I have been thinking about doing a strictly GM type of association. I was wondering if there was a database of managers somewhere (real or fictional)? I know that we can import them, but I don't believe that PureSim currently has a default database.
I am not forgoing my managing dynasty, but I wanted to try a GM only type so that I could get through seasons a little faster.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well I feel stupid. :-). Thanks Tomas, but here is a follow up question for you. The list appears to be strictly real life historical managers, is there a fictional database of managers somewhere? Is it possible to import a manager, then modernize their traits for a modern era ballgame?
I guess if I were to create a modern association I can just pick the modern managers to for the teams.

Yes, there is for you to create Manager ...
Here's steps ...
Home ... Options and Utilities ... More Association Options ... Add Custom Mgr ... Type in First and Last name ... Add Manager ... Click Close ... OK
Your Team ...
Manager AI Tendencies ... Import Manager ... Find Last name ... Highlight Last name ... Import ...
This is where you need to make manual changes according to your style of managing your team, as if, you are managing the Game ... go through all of them and set the bar for each line ... then after all is set ... then click Apply Changes ...
Close ...
Important : after all this is done ...
Home ... Options and Utilities ... More Association Options ... Add Custom Mgr ... Import Custom ... it'll show your manager has been imported into the DB for the future leagues of teams ...
Luck of the Irish, mate ...

WOW, I did not realize that there was a Manager Feature (with "real-life" Managers included!!) Ya know, I learn something every time I poke my nose into the message board, this feature is a revelation in my little sim baseball world, thanks for sharing that tid-bit, I must have missed it in the Game Manual. Pure Genius, I must say...

I use the Manager AI, alot in all my Leagues ... enhanced the Classic/Sandbox mode very well ... in the MLB mode, it's automatically update from 1900 on up, in the same way as the logos and parks ... ...

The question I have, "Does the Manager Database breakdown each year or is it just an overall?"
I just wonder when a Manager had a team that did not steal much one year and a team that are all out thieves another, does the database take that into account?
Or am I just thinking about it too much???

Ahhh ... the depth of P#6's question ... unfortunately, no ... it does not break down each season, as far as, the type of players the team may have per season ... but then again, it usually reflect the type of manager and his style of managing, overall - if the opportunity present itself, during the Game and in the way of the players - with their ratings, may affect the outcome - according to how the Manager AI is set, during that course of split decision ...
Nice thought provoking question, during my morning coffee, mate ...
