Hello, Gang!
I'm curious to hear what injury ratings you all set your games to.
Do you keep it default?
Tone it down?
Crank it up?
I have always enjoyed the self-abusive frustration of seeing a key player go down on an injury, then the added, second-phase challenge of replacing them. In one of my great, long-running associations, I had a year when 4 of my starting 5 pitchers fell to injury; WOW was that an epic season- that scramble, that difficulty, and juggling, just adds something to the game that really makes it unique. Anyway... I was hoping to gauge my fellow players and see where people set their sliders.

Hey, FS...
Has been awhile, and having my weekend off for the first time since ... I have my Fielder Injuries set at 300, while the Pitcher Injuries being set at 290... To create a more challenging task, as GM, in handling these issues... This setting is more appropriate in the Modern Era than the Dead-Ball Era, because of the surplus of available players... With the Dead-Ball Era, I have mine at 200/190...
While, I'm here, I do hope Shaun can let us know one way or another, if he's ever going to rebuild PureSim...

Thanks for the feedback, Oldtimer! It's nice to see you too! Those settings- how are they working out for you? I've found that with stock settings, injuries seem to come out like a hill; low at the beginning, peaking midway through the year, then all but disappearing towards the end of the season. I can understand how sometimes that might happen, but it seemed that this was the pattern each and every year. I don't want to consistently lose half my starting lineup but at the same time, I want that possibility to be a looming obstacle and I want it to where such a horrific, season-killing event, happens from time-to-time. We've all seen countless situations where real-life teams are doing extremely well, then they get bitten by the injury bug and lose 2 starting pitchers, 2 or 3 position players and then have to hobble along for the rest of the year. I like the pressure and the challenge of platooning a position, or calling up a young hopeful player earlier than I would have liked, or force-converting a utility fielder into a starter, or even wheeling and dealing and trading for a short-term veteran to fill in the gap. I like it when the game gives me more of a challenge than just beat the other team. I'll try your suggested setting and report in on how they do. Thank you again!
