Something I would love to see corrected in Puresim is the elimination of this event: I believe this is the result of PureSim viewing what players on a team would fit the ' statistically desirable enough to warrant a viable trade with the player being offered' requirement, without taking the actual team's financial capabilities into consideration. It's looking at too narrow a scope, or better yet, it isn't asking the right questions. Puresim probably asks " What player from each team would that team consider to be a fair trade for the guy being offered"? While that's a perfectly valid question, the issue is that the game stops there. It takes the answer(s) to that question and lists them in the trade windows. The question it doesn't ask, which is an important one considering the answer could invalidate the previous question's responses, is " CAN this team make the trade?". I suspect that Puresim is only looking at several (but clearly not ALL) of the player's values- an the one value it isn't looking at or taking into consideration is the monetary obligation that comes with that player. If the game were to ask the affordability question and it was determined that the team cannot afford the player, then that team simply shouldn't be allowed to "participate" in the trade talks for that player. Why cause an inevitable frustration for the user? Ask one more question, or look at one more value, and eliminate the teams that can't complete the deal.
