In an earlier thread, I asked anyone if they new whether the outfield wall height actually helped determine whether a fly ball or line drive was a home run or whether it was just a cosmetic feature of the ball park affecting nothing during game play.
To that question I would like to add this: Does wind direction, its strength and the temperature have any effect on whether a fly ball clears a fence or not? Does anyone know which of these variables if any (wall height & distance, wind speed & direction, & air temp) can determine whether a fly or line drive goes out of the park or just hits the fence?

Yeah, they all do. And that's the Easter Bunny ringing your doorbell.
