I looked at the 24 team association schedule also but found it to be actually worse than the 30 team one. I am going to lay out a template in Word to work off of if someone can tell me how I can manually enter a schedule into puresim that the software will use to generate a schedule that allows the games to be played with the season and individual stats kept. Maybe I am being too persnickety about it but I would like to have a association where all the teams play but how many actually played against who weighted by your division, the other 2 divisions of your league and the 2nd league's 3 divisions.
Despite my concerns about the unfair schedule, I am enjoying playing the 30 team association I have set up with most of the players. I really like that I can pick a logo that shows in the team's schedule and set up the team colors to reflect the colors in the logo so that when I play a game the players names stand out from the other team's and remind me of the logo itself.
I am still getting use to the settings for the manager but am slowly learning how to set them. I am about half way through my season which I set up for 1947. The two new associations I have been drafting for are 1950 and I have all the position players installed already with about 25% of the pitchers done. I will play it in continuous replay mode so my players do not age and I can compare results at the end of the season each time I replay it to see what similarities and differences result. I think that will be interesting.
It would be very enjoyable to look at one team's schedule and see every team in the association played, all their logos represented. The "weighted" schedule explained in my last thread would be far more interesting to play out over the season and would be more balanced and fair. I hope somehow someone can help me with this. If I knew how to write up (program) a schedule that the software could use, I would be most willing to do so. For the present I will continue to work on the "Word" schedule, first for the 30 team association and then the 24 one. Already I can see that it gets quite confusing (and tricky) keeping who plays who and whether at home or away but I think I can figure it out, I have set up a chart in excel to track my "Word" schedule by who plays on what day.
