what do the ratings abbreviations stand for and how does each impact game play? For example, I had several instances of asking whether I want to make a throw or not based on speed vs arm. How are the safe/out probabilites determined?

Well, I wouldn't steal a base if my player has a 30 (speed) rating against a catcher, who's arm rating is over 80 ... the odds are not very good ... it's really depends on the game ... If I have a player with a rating of 80 plus (speed) against a catcher's arm of 65. the odds are better ... also, depends on the pitcher, according to his delivery speed and his effectiveness ... As far as, how the Game has been playing in this type of scenario, hasn't been bad, at all ... You win some and you lose some, depending on the overall of your players against the AI and the team, you're playing against ... As well as, by checking the defensive players, with their defensive ratings ... let say, you see a defensive player with a 96 76 100 ratings ... that Hands Range Arm status ... 96 means he has less chance of making an error while his range is ok but his arm is fantastic ... so if your player going to run (30 for speed rating) for an extra base against a RF, from going to third, from second ... your probability of taking third are not going to be successful ... Lots of decisions to make in a very short window time, make the Game more FUN and realistic (to me, anyway) ...
Even though, there are still some issues in the Game, but ... It's still the Best Free Game, on the PC Baseball Market, in the world ...
And That's Baseball !!

hey, thanks for the response, but what do the other ratings, like CON, for example signify?
