So I might be mistaken, but didn't one of the past versions have a place where you could adjust stolen bases, home runs etc etc.

Yes, it did in one of the earlier versions ... during the time, when Crash was part of height of PureSim Dynasty ... however, due to Shaun's business venture, he thought it would be wise to eliminate these options and just keep the Managers, Injuries and trade bars, as is ...
Man, for I and the rest of us, have missed those days ... Now, only being played in a small handful of PS Diehard PCs ... I still play the Game with using of Historical/Fictional players in the Sandbox mode ... I gave up trying to manipulate and maintain the accuracy of the era ... and just go have FUN and let the data alone, as fact - for that League ... A Baseball World of it's own ... the stats are not too bad but it's an acceptable norm ...
I will always play this Game, while I continue to add and update the photos ... just wondering how far will Shaun continue to add the Lahman updates ... just wishing he could adjust ALL the xml yearly, as he has been kind enough, to update the database, to current ... unfortunately, some has ended at 2009, while one of them up to 2011 and 2012, respectively ... this may possibly rendered the Historical MLB as unplayable, after a certain year like Glenn has pointed out ...
Long Live the remaining PureSimmer Diehards !!!

So I might be mistaken, but didn't one of the past versions have a place where you could adjust stolen bases, home runs etc etc. Click player name and from left menu click Edit Player, adjust a player's setting.

That's correct, Fred ... (but wouldn't that be cheating though ... ... I had to sometimes adjust, certain known players, that were better than the AI had them to be) ...
Actually, what Reflection was talking about was for the League Overall, of that time period ... there was a time when there was an option, to select different range along the bar to adjust overall league average ... but that was another time ago ...

Agreed it is cheating. I'm merely answering a question. PureSim possesses the most finely detailed statistics engine I've come across. Their multiple levels of settings encompasses all player demographics I've yet to encounter since the early days of board gaming with Stratomatic and APBA. I only hope someday soon PureSim becomes available on the mobile platform. Thanks for your message and "roll the dice". It's your turn.

Hmmm... For some odd reason, I had been spoiled by the simplicity and the pureness of PureSim ... and I had never looked back, especially the Strats-Era ... The Game offered the same thrills, as in the "roll the dice" (had me chuckling there, Fred) ... but quicker ... Tech Era has been propelling me forward, by the ability to cramming in more activities, that I needed a short moment to catch my breath - and that to stop and play the Game ... Ahhh, the Sandlot Days ... and That's Baseball

I just like having some flavor in my leagues.. Some base stealers that get over 30. lol I was hoping it would just have a bit more variation in the historical aspect

I think you can get more variations if you use Alternate Reality. Your guy may have a power rating of 90 on a scale of 1-100, but there is no guarantee he will hit a bunch of HRs. Same for everything else, high Contact may not necessarily mean your guy is going to hit over 300.
My three main things about PS is Tru Life Transactions stops with 2011, no head to head play and seems like more walks than there should be. Not many Ps are getting a good or decent K/BB ratio. But if you just play to win and have a good time with, it is not as noticeable.
If I could only get one, I would love to see HTH play. Several different seasons could be going at the same time where people could come and go and play any game on the schedule that day. One could play five games and be five different teams. There could be an attempt where people have their one team or if before interleague play, one AL and one NL team that they operate forthat season. The opposing teams are played by whoever is there and wants to play. If a newcomer arrives and wants in, he can take one team in each league of those still available.

Yeah but when the home run leader is constantly just under 30, and the steals leader is just around 34 steals. Not much variation..and I do play alternate reality.

I'm not sure if the output can be related to how many teams and divisions one have ... in other words, will you have more HRs or SBs, if there are greater number of teams or less number of teams ... food for thought ...
