Is it possible to create a database with favorite teams? For instance 1975 Red Sox, 1975 Reds, 1983 White Sox, 1980 Phillies, etc.?

Well, for starter ...
Are you asking if PS can provide your favorite teams and compete ... the answer is YES ...
- New Game
- Check Sandbox mode ...
- Entered year to closely resembled your teams you're interested in playing ...
- Select Association Format ... how many do you want to compete ...
- Entered team names ...
- Choose your team or none at all ...
- Select your Roster Options
- Add/Import real Players and Teams ...
- Select year of your team (1975)
- select Import to team options (Boston Red Sox)
- Clicked on Import players ...
- Repeat till you have each team imported with Real-Life players ... and clicked Close ...
- Continue to the next stage ...

Be careful how you setup your league. I did several Greatest Teams Leagues in the past and came across some craziness as the years went by.
A couple of the coolest things about a Greatest Teams League is that you can simulate the same year over and over with different Managers running the teams and use different stadiums
A couple of the weirdest things about a Greatest Teams League is the player ratings will change at times and you will see players debut ages decrease. I one league I had players debut at age 9.
Heck, you can even see Barry go from this..
To this...
By the way, today Barry looks like this...

Danged ... ( Current) Bonds look really good and happy, since his Minor League playing days ... THATS what happened when one removed PEDs from his daily diet ... doesn't exhibited "the wide jaws" and mass that comes with using (as evidence in the first pic)... .. . oh, wait - he said he never touched the stuff ... .. .

Before we get carried away ... with PS6, from the Wolverines, using 2012 Lahman DB ... in Sandbox mode ... I had tried to initiate the 2 leagues, 6 divisions and 30 teams -MLB format - Houston in AL ... I had ran into Crashes - several times tilled I got burnt out in setting it up ... anyway, never did with the latest PureSim Build ... you're welcome to it, just I had enough ... very time consuming, in manually importing teams, players, parks, managers and logos ... YIKE!!!

Thanks for the update. I certainly do not want to spend hour upon hour setting up a league and finding out that it crashes. What a bummer!
