Found you guys again from the old Wolverine Studio site. I downloaded the new Puresim, I had the Beta 6 from the old site and never even thought about getting a refund. I see some of you guys over on the OOTP Forum every so often.
I downloaded the new Puresim, installed it on my I drive and I can not get the players photos to load. When I click on an individual player it takes me to the player pics on my H drive. I have placed my player photos in the mods folder on my I drive in the mods folder of Puresim but it doesn't even look there for them I have used the Wight photos from the Padres Fan website so I think the naming of the plaeyers is correct. Any ideas?
Thanks for the help and I am glad to see that Puresim is still alive. There are so many good things about the game that keeps me always going back to it.

Hey MtFire ... Welcome to our new home ...
Just take each one from the Wolverine Studios and place them into PureSim Baseball Mods folder ... PadreFans' site has been kind enough to allow the Old PureSim's Mods to be around, since he's no longer as active as he once was ...
Wolverine Studios/PureSim Baseball4/mods/faces ... : ... Photos : C:\Program Files (x86)\PureSimBaseball\mods\faces
Wolverine Studios/PureSim Baseball4/mods/parks ... : ... Parks : C:\Program Files (x86)\PureSimBaseball\mods\parks
Wolverine Studios/PureSim Baseball4/mods/logos ... : ... Logos : C:\Program Files (x86)\PureSimBaseball\mods\logos
Be sure to click on Options while in Main display ... then you'll see and click on Auto-Assign Player Photos ... you should be good to go, after that ...

Hi Jabez
Seems like the Sox are going really well this year, I thought that they would being playing for fourth and fifth in thr East this year with the Yankees, Toronto was the team to beat.
I tried extacly what you said in many different ways. Placed the photos in folders, singular, and in different places with no luck. Also used the assign players photos and that shows zero photos added. I can enter one at a time by clicking the change photo on each player
Also should have the logos been automatic too? I had to go to each team and hit change logo. My problem seems to be where and how add the mods.

Well ... As a last resort ... until Shaun is able to wrest himself from his priorities of Life, here's what I have been doing instead ...
Forget Padresfan's Mods for the moment ...
Goto ... www.ootpmods.com/ ... Download www.ootpmods.com/mods/2012-03-12_Facepack_Full_Players_in_Single_Folder.zip ... Placed this into C:\Program Files (x86)\PureSimBaseball\mods\faces\Generic folder ... (be sure to use ONLY the Players Photos - not the managers or coaches) ... then use any batch resizer software to reduced it to 65x90 ... (I use FastStone Photo Resizer - it's Free)
There in the OOTP's World, are full of a Multi-Talented creators of logos, parks and such ... it's a goldmine ... once you have become proficient in these and planting them into PureSim's Mod Folder, go at it and find some more out there using Google to find better replacements ... let me know how it has been going for you ... as long as I am able, I'll be of service to you ... Jabez

For faces put the player's face in each appropriate decade directory (note example from my work pc) C:\SMILE\My_Stuff\PureSimBaseball\mods\faces\1800s C:\SMILE\My_Stuff\PureSimBaseball\mods\faces\1900sC:\SMILE\My_Stuff\PureSimBaseball\mods\faces\1910s C:\SMILE\My_Stuff\PureSimBaseball\mods\faces\1920s C:\SMILE\My_Stuff\PureSimBaseball\mods\faces\1930s C:\SMILE\My_Stuff\PureSimBaseball\mods\faces\1940s C:\SMILE\My_Stuff\PureSimBaseball\mods\faces\1950s C:\SMILE\My_Stuff\PureSimBaseball\mods\faces\1960s C:\SMILE\My_Stuff\PureSimBaseball\mods\faces\1970s C:\SMILE\My_Stuff\PureSimBaseball\mods\faces\1990s C:\SMILE\My_Stuff\PureSimBaseball\mods\faces\2000s C:\SMILE\My_Stuff\PureSimBaseball\mods\faces\2010s C:\SMILE\My_Stuff\PureSimBaseball\mods\faces\NegroLeague Example I would place Abner Dalrymple in the C:\SMILE\My_Stuff\PureSimBaseball\mods\faces\1800s For Logos, make sure you have the logos in the following directory with the correct abbreviation and year (note example from my work pc) Location - C:\SMILE\My_Stuff\PureSimBaseball\mods\logos Logo name as follows: Three Letter abbreviation "XXX" Underscore "_" Year "####" Example Houston 1980 = HOU_1980 Hope this helps!

Thanks, P#6, for pointing these out ... for I keep forgetting those earlier steps when I have become a little more adept in what I do, now ... AND, once again, EXCELLENT Layout, mate ...
Either way (P#6 or myself) will and does work ... I prefer, the Generic, toward the Combo of Fictional or Historical World ... from 1875 and onward, with Photos in the Generic folder does placed the correct photos toward players names ... to those who want players according to their initial Debuts, please do what P#6 does ...
I preferred, for simplicity sake, placed them into the Generic folder ... it just keep them less cluttered, to a simple person like me ... even with players has similar names, usually will have middle initials to separate the two or even three ...
AGAIN, do P#6's correct method for Debuts ...

Thanks for the quick replies.
If I understand what you are saying, I keep the photos in their own folders by year, or decade? I have them in separate year folders placed in a decade folder. I place them on my C drive document folder although the game itself is installed on my (I) drive? I installed all of my baseball things on the I drive to keep my C drive clean, it is a solid state drive and I don't have much of anything on it except the OS.
I have tried to place them in decade, single year, and all together not in separate folders. The only place I haven't placed them on the C drive. When I would add a separate player on the player page using 'change player photo' it would direct me to my H drive where I could manually upload the photo.
I will try my using my C drive, I do not have a document folder on any other drive other than my C drive. Could I add one on each of the drives, especially my I drive?
Thanks,
John

Tried all of your suggestions and no go. I put them in the correct folder on I in Puresim mods/ faces and was a waste of time. Wouldnt placeing in this folder work instead of C drive? I added them also to C drive and that didn't work. My C drive dies not have any mention of Puresim on it, nothing and I don't want it there.

Got them!!!
I deleted all of the files from I Drive Puresim mods faces, reloaded full decades as Prisonerno6 suggested and they loaded. For some reason the files that I first put there didn't let the other ones get read by program.
Thanks for the help,
John

nd, the Answer to this perplexing Question is...
a) First of all, create a Season, preferably the Season you will be placing your Player Photos in. b) Make Sure All of your Player Photos have Player Name, as follows - First_Last c) Locate folder string as follows : PureSimBaseball >mods >faces >Generic d) Place all of your Photos in Generic Folder e) Save Game here (see Attached Photo), or simply exit Game while on this game page (I believe this an Auto-Save Point for Computer), and go no further. Quit game here. f) Re-Load the Game Save that you just saved. g) Back on the same page (same as Attached Photo) h) Look at Left side of Game Page. i) Click on Options & Utilities j) At bottom of the new page which now appears, click-on the icon Auto-Assign player photos k) Now, check your Rosters (player-by-player), click on each one and... l) Voila, Success!!
I finally figured this out a while back, it was VERY Fustrating to have massive Player Photo Packs, and doing things manually, Incredibly Time Consuming!
Hope this Helps.
