The latest build includes 2014 player stats, 2014 schedule, and removes some dead features (link to the old mods page etc). There are no other changes at this time. Download PureSim Baseball v6.12 Shaun Thanks Shaun. PureSim works great on my Lenovo desktop using Windows 10.

Thanks oldtimer. Is there a way to change the manager name for my team? Can computer teams make trade offers or shop players, if so how would I know? I manage one team and sim the rest of the day, if I choose sim day before playing my game will it get simmed? I prefer to play my game last. Is there a help file FAQ anywhere. The more I try to do the more questions I have. ( Manager Name Change) Not exactly. You can't CHANGE the existing manager, but you CAN create a new/custom one and then "hire" him. To do this: - From the Home screen, click on Options and Utilities.
- Select the More Association Options tab.
- In the Managers section, select Add Custom Manager.
- Give him (or her if you're feeling liberal) a First Name then a Last Name then click on Add Manager. They've now been added to the Manager "pool".
- Back at the Home screen, click on Front Office to go to your team's Front Office screen
- From here, select Manager AI Tendencies.
- Once the tendencies slider screen fully loads, select the Import Manager button at the bottom of that window.
- Scroll down to find the Manager you created in Step 4, single-click on them and then click on Import.
- Adjust sliders to fit the personality you want them to have (if applicable; I personally always manage each and every game, so these sliders are irrelevant to me).
- Click on Apply Changes.
- Click on Close.
- Enjoy your new manager.
( AI Trades) Yes- AI will consider and offer trades IF you activated that option when creating the league. It's ON by default, but you would have had the option to turn it off. There is also a "slider" under Home Screen -> Options and Utilities -> More Association Options tab where you can determine AI trade intelligence/difficulty; will they give up Pedro Martinez for Alfredo Amezaga or will they actually use their brains when making that call? Also, there is no "traditional" Trading Block, where you have an idea of who a team is willing to shop. If the offer is right, they'll let almost anyone go. ( Simming Before Your Game)
Yes- regrettably, there is no ' Sim All Games Expect For The One The Team I Am Managing Is Going To Play' feature. The order is firm- you have to sim your game first, then you sim the rest of the games for that day. ( FAQ vs Questions) I strongly recommend the questions. Ask us, the long-time fans and players of the game; not only will you get the best and most accurate feedback (from people who have been playing the game for years and years and years) but we LOVE finding reasons to talk about this game, so you also shine a little happiness into our lives.

Thanks for the answers. I am a veteran of Strat-O-Matic. I usually played 3 to 4 seasons with each version. Can I do that with Pure Sim, if so how does that effect contracts age etc, and what happens to that association when the update comes out (New Stats)? Also can you save or pause a game in progress? You know sometimes life happens. ( Multi-Season Playing) I'm not sure I'm understanding the question, so I'll answer based on what I think you're asking. This recent update to the 2014 rosters was a treat- normally the game does not receive regular updates (for bug fixes or roster updates). Regardless, roster updates will only affect Associations that begin after the update, so an existing Association will continue to function without a hiccup (but also without reflecting these changes). If that's not what you meant, let me know and I'll fashion a more accurate response. ( In-Game Saves) Unfortunately, this is not an option. The game auto-saves when you exit out of your Association and back to the Home screen, which can only be done before or after a game.

I seem to go through slumps with my base stealers where sometimes, none of my guys will attempt a steal even though I clicked on it 20 times through the entire game.
Color codes are shown in one of the roster pages. There are more than one shade of blue so if you are not sure, you can always click on the pitcher's name and look to see what percentage he is at. I generally don't use start or use a RP unless he is at 100%. You may have a RP with a pitch count of 75 put in the game and pitch one inning using only 6 pitches, but that doesn't necessarily mean you should leave him in for more. It depends on how you feel about the game situation and what the rest of your bullpen looks like. Even though a high pitch count, one inning a game has a better chance of being able to use him in several games in a row if needed.
My general rule is if a player goes brown, he gets a day off. If gray, he is injured and even if it is minor for one game, he gets the day off. I set the injury bars at 450 for both pitchers and players because I want teams to be forced to use more players. As a house rule, if an injury is 10 plus days, automatic trip to the DL.
There is a page with the color cods somewhere. Click through places on your roster page, Front Office and Home pages. It is in there somewhere.

Hey, Bob ... The best way is to connect with this website : www.ootpmods.com/ ... download the "Complete Photo Set By Gambo/t_wil1/PhillieFever/tnfoto & OOTP Community Player photos organized in subfolders according to debut year" (unfortunately, you going to have to do several things - 1. take all the players of each OOTP decade, as all in one decade - as an example like; 1900s folder, with all those who had played in that decade ... 2. reduced the pic to 65x90 can do this with the Faststone Resizer = it's free! (www.faststone.org/FSResizerDetail.htm) ... Drats, I got to go ... be back or someone else will chime in for the parks or photos, as well ... Luck of the Irish to you, mate ...

As for bench players, the easiest way for me to decide is to go to the player's card and click on defense chart. I wish there was an easier way like having the positions by color code in the column where it is now. Any position in red don't need to be listed.
I don't use photos, but I do wish the game had all the different stadiums computer generated, since it is a computer game. With the view we have with the generic field, the others could be done in the same view. It would be cool to see the Green Monster when in Boston. I don't want photos.

Bobfather ... both, the amateur draft and the free agency comes after, the beginning of each new campaign season...
As for the DL, usually 2 weeks or more ... however, if there are 10 days or less, one can either keep the player on the bench, or DH, or sent down to the Minor ... however, I had discovered a bug !! ... I know this is "cheating" (yet, it's there for the taking ), but I have always sent them down to the Minors ... because for some odd reason, the injured player healed faster !!! ... so if you're in a pennant race, and your player got hurt three weeks or more, sent them down to the Minors and they will be ready half that, instead of serving out on the DL for those days that were assigned to them ... (Yeah, it's a bug but sheesh, It's harder to win the pennant and I do need help ... LOL ....)
Luck of the Irish to you, mate ...
