I just have to share this. I have played literally thousands of PS games over the past 6 or 7 years, but today I experienced a "first." Bottom of the ninth, my team in the field and ahead 3-1. Runners on first and second, nobody out. The batter hits a line drive to the second baseman...TRIPLE PLAY!!!!
I am sure someone else has seen one of these, right?
Man, I love this game!

Since 2005, I have yet, in my Hybrid style of play, ever witnessed the Triple Play ... I, for one, cannot imagined the chill that had coarse through your veins to have seen this - especially in the bottom of the ninth ... yeah, I love this Game, too ... Awesome, Bustoff ... thanks for sharing !!!

Honestly, I was slack-jawed and maybe even gob-smacked as well. My first reaction was "WHAT???" Then, "HOLY *$#@!" Then I did the PureSim Dance. Here's the inning from the game log:
Bottom of the 9th **** PITCHING CHANGE.......Now Pitching for David Bagley...Joseph Madison He has a 3.00 ERA, 3 Save(s) and 0 Blown Save(s). No Outs, Bases Empty Joseph Madison Pitches to LF Lonnie Pierce Lonnie Pierce Today: 1 for 2 Pitch 3: (3) (In Play) Doubles near the line in deep left. No Outs, Runner on Second Joseph Madison Pitches to 1B Jorge Kephart Jorge Kephart Today: 1 for 3 Pitch 4: (7) Outside, Ball 4 Madison gives up a walk to Kephart Pinch hitting for Ralph Smith: Dale Jackson No Outs, Runners on First and Second Joseph Madison Pitches to Dale Jackson (.333 0 HR 3 RBI) Pitch 2: (9) (In Play) Dale Jackson lines out to Davis TRIPLE PLAY - Batter out and runners on 1st & 2nd are out!!!

Tomas, I have a whole envelope of ticket stubs from games I saw at Sportsmans Park and later at Busch Stadium. Most of them have the score written on the back (The Redbirds almost always won when we were there.). That stub is probably the oldest I have, but I started going to games beginning in '58. I remember that one because of the "deluxe" room, which was adjacent to the broadcasting booth. I got Harry Caray's autograph that day, and the scorecard he signed is buried somewhere in the attic. It was a great experience. We had a waiter to take our food and drink orders, and a big electric fan in the corner to keep us cool--no A/C in Sportsmans Park back then! My dad was well-connected in St. Louis and seemed to have an endless supply of baseball tickets...mostly box seats. I came to believe going to baseball games was my (and my brother's) birthright. It broke my heart when I moved from St. Louis and they wouldn't allow me to take the stadium with me.

That's cool. I was managing every game for the 2010 Rangers and in the third inning, the game kicked into auto completion. I was like "wtf?". I found out that apparently I argued something and got ejected! That was so cool but have not been ejected since and haven't really noticed anybody else. I figure, if somebody manages a season of the Yankees with Billy Martin, maybe will get ejected several times in the same season. Don't know. I couldn't do anything but technically watch the rest of the game from the locker room, but it was the coolest to see the game can do that. At the moment, I am doing the Rangers 2012 and through 9 games, they are 8-1 and Hamilton is on fire with 6 HRs and 18 RBIs.

Cool, I had no idea that could happen in PS. I think I would like to get tossed out of a game just for the experience...just to know I could. I'd even like to see an option on the game menu called "Argue the call" which may or may not get you tossed out, and can only be used once or twice per game. I'd also like to see an option to have a "conference" on the mound when a normally good pitcher is getting shelled...maybe this will set him straight, maybe not.

Bustoff, How fortunate you and your brother were during those glorious years ... long before there were price tags on the collection of Baseball souvenirs ... Topps within the bicycle's rims ... I cannot imagined seeing Sportsmans Park, at the height of it's glory ... long before AC became common ... one will NEVER forget the emotions and the alertness, of all the five senses, that connect with Baseball ... Awesome Dad ... ... the best times, with my dad, was sitting in the seasonal box seat, in Fenway, behind the other dugout, 4 rows back ... seeing Killebrew, Jackson, Carew , Robinson, Weaver and the Orioles Pitchers from the Orioles, Twins and the A's - when they came to town ... apparently, my dad, was only given those teams tickets, while the others from his company got the rest of the teams ... So those teams killed the Red Sox during the late 60s and early 70's ... when the Red Sox win, it was sweeter but it was still sweet watching Baseball in it Pure form ... (for some odd reason, my original post got lost last night ...)

Tomas, you are right about our being lucky to experience baseball in the glory years. I could wax poetic about our times there for hours. Strangely, it was not our dad who went with us most times His job kept him on the road a lot--he would go when he could, but that wasn't often enough. He was a Cardinals fan, no doubt--but it was our mother who was the one who lived and died with the Redbirds, and she was the one who took us to most of the games. We were there the day they closed Sportsman's Park for good. Somewhere I have some old color photos I took during the game. I still have a swatch of the infield tarp, a handful of gravel from the warning track, and a couple of wooden slats from the seats we sat in that day...with the seat numbers painted on them. And...maybe, just maybe, there are still a few blades of grass in the backyard of the house where we lived then that are the children born of the slab of outfield sod I ripped up and replanted.
No money can buy memories that good.

I LOVE it !!! ... Yeah, having that kind of memories being relive, once again, in PureSim Baseball ... Really sweet ... I would imagined having that Tripleplay being remembered for a very long time, as much as, remembering managing a No-Hitter ... (especially, the pitcher was so ordinary ) ... and Thats Baseball

I had Tom Seaver (1977) pitch a Perfect Game against me over the weekend. I used every available batter towards the end, but to no avail, I just could not get a hit or a walk.
After the game I was given this jersey...
