I recently began an 8-team sandbox league starting in 1970. The issue I'm having is with AI management of a 4 or 5-man starting pitcher rotation. Regardless of the size of the rotation or the fact that each pitcher is set to NEVER have their turn skipped in the rotation, the AI will always choose the highest slotted pitcher who is 'feeling good' rather than stick to the assigned order. Aside from rearranging the order of the pitching rotation of each team before every single game is played, is there another way to remedy this issue?
Thanks in advance,
Vin

Well I am seeing similar problems in regards to pitching rotation common sense or lack there of used by managers. I have had it where a relief pitcher was used that never started in the year I am playing and on top of that there were at least two fresh starters that could have been used. Also this relief pitcher had never started in like 5 years and that year was the only year of his career that he started a game. Also with no day off the Twins decided to go with a three man rotation so far using Blyleven when they should have went with their fourth starter. Of course Blyleven got pounded and the game ended with Minnesota losing 11-10 so if a well rested pitcher was in there they probably win that game. I now see I am going to have to try and mess with the manager sliders which is not something I will enjoy doing at all. I am used to baseball sims where managers play it pretty close to the vest and go with what traditionally works and so I guess paying real money for a baseball sim sometimes pays off. Still I think this is something I can still enjoy but my goodness what the managers do sometimes.
