I am probably the only one that believes this (and no I am not an Angels fan), I for some reason don't believe that Cabrera is the MVP of the AL. I know that the Tigers went to the playoffs, but for some reason I feel that not only is he one dimensional, but I am getting tired of the "since his team went to the playoffs he should win" comment. I feel that a players contributions to both the offensive and defensive aspect of the game should be considered playoffs be damn. For this reason, I feel that the best player in the AL should and is Mr. Trout of the Angels.
I might be the only one that believes this, but I feel that he gets slighted in the voting/results. Oh well I guess I am just a person with differing views on the subjects.
By the way, I sure hope that things will continue on these boards even though we are in the offseason.

Here's some more information on it. bleacherreport.com/articles/1850845-mlb-mvp-2013-al-and-nl-winners-voting-results-and-analysisI would not be so quick to bring up defense concerning Mr. Trout: He earned -0.9 WAR as a defender, 10 on offense, for 9.1 On the other hand, Cabrera has his own issues: -1.5 defense, 8.9 offense, for a total of 7.4 When it's real close I'm willing to give the playoff team member a small nudge - but it's not like they were the AL Champs. Plus, 1.7 WAR is more than a small nudge. Yep, I agree: Trout for MVP

Yeah, if I were voting I would have chosen Trout.
