Win some and lose some ... this excerpt, I couldn't of said it any better ...
"That's a hell of a game," said Ortiz. "You can't ask for no more than that. Everybody gave a good effort, and they hit a home run off our best pitcher with a nasty pitch. You've got to give them credit. They're in the playoffs for a reason. They've been in the playoffs for a reason for years. They're a good ballclub, and they played better than we did."
As for Game 4?
"We're coming back hungry, just like we did today," Ortiz said. "We know this isn't over. We've got to come and play, make pitches, score runs. We've got to do whatever it takes to win the game."
Tonight, you'll see ...
I'll leave you all with this reminder why the Rays are still tough ...

If that is how Dustin plays when he is hungry, I suggest that Dustin eat something before the game.
Maybe Terry can send Dustin some fried chicken...

I told you, no matter if Rays are good or not, they play scrappy as hell against the Red Soz and Yankees. Been giving both of them fits for years. Almost as though it has developed into a three way rivalry.

What a roller coaster season for the Dodgers!
By mid June they were 31-42, last place in their division. But with the return of their injured players and the emergence of the rookie Yasiel Puig, they went 46-10 through August 23. When the smoke clears, by September 19, they clinch the NL Western division title. This was the earliest the Dodgers had ever clinched a title and the largest deficit they had to overcome to win the division title. They eventually defeat the Braves, and advance to the NLCS...

Would like to see the Pirates advance ... because, it has been awhile ... no particular favorites on the others ... they, all, are good teams ...

I'd like to see the Pirates and A's. Two small market teams in the WS would be cool.

What an exciting playoff season! I like the Pirates and the A's, especially the A's. I've developed a soft spot for the A's after reading the book "Moneyball." But would love a Red Sox-Dodgers World Series...

Personally I am hoping to see a West Coast team play an East Coast team. Since I don't have any horses in the race, I won't pick one. I just hate when the ratings for the World Series are down when the teams come from the same region of the US. All of the talking heads then try and use it as a reason why baseball is not as popular. One of these days I will be able to care about the teams that make it, but until then I am looking for a competitive series.
