Hi gang. I do not see that anyone has brought this up yet, so I will. Is this game going to run on Windows 10? If it doesn't, that's pretty much a deal breaker for me, I will stay with Windows 7. Has anyone been courageous enough to pull the trigger yet?

NO PROBLEMBO with Windows 10 ... what's kool is, while Customizing your Display, you can increase the fonts and the frames becomes larger and easier to read ... the Game has been running smoothly ... just the font has been change which does make the appearance a little off but still enjoyable ... also, the trajectory of the ball appeared smoother and faster, while managing and watching the Game ... so far, it's better than any Windows of the past!!!

Really?
I must be having a problem then; whenever I download the ZIP file and unzip it, the EXE shows 0 size and when I try to run it I continue to get errors stating that "This app can't run on your PC". Am I doing something wrong?

Aw, Crap ... are you running with a laptop ...
Sorry, FS, I don't have any answers on this one -while Windows 10- is in its infancy ... It may be because I have this Game before the upgrade ... like I was told that my Windows Media Player will not work under W-10, but it has been working really well ...
Has any mates out there downloaded the Game after Windows 10 upgrade, and did it work? ...
SHAUN, where are you mate??

I've been running the game without any problems in all versions of Windows that I had, including 7. Then I bought a new laptop and it came with Win 8.1. I tried to unZIP the file (exactly as I described above) and received the same error. I had hoped that Win 10 would prove better, but it continues to give me the same issues. Everything ELSE is working like a dream on Windows 10- super efficient.
PS however... notsomuch.

NVM.
I figured it out. It's too embarassing to share what I was doing wrong, so suffice to say- all seems well now.

Bud... have you seen my Marlins lately? I think you and I are in the same boat; at least we can hold the claim of being loyal fans. My problem was in the program I was using to unZIP the file. Where Win 7 had built-in WinZIP Win 8.1 (and now 10) don't; so in looking for an "app" to fill my needs, I found something called ZIP Opener. What crap. It would unzip the file but it was showing the file to be 0 k in size. When I tried to run it, I would receive the error I mentioned before- but it never hit me that the file was 0k in size. So, I searched harder and found a WinZIP app, which I used successfully and it unzipped the file. The game installed fine and is running like a dream. In fact, I might start doing Dynasty reports again.

Yeah, I have always enjoy your Dynasty report ... looking forward to it ...

I upgraded to Windows 10 and have had some difficulty dealing with files.I had similar issues (to a lesser extent) with Windows 7.It must be me.I did lose one sport sim when I upgraded as it did not recognize me any longer.Pure Sim seems to be running fine in Windows 10.My biggest gripe though about Windows 10 is the deletion of Windows Media Center.I enjoyed watching live TV (local channels), especially Saturday baseball broadcasts.Great picture and none of buffering issues I have watching cable TV on my computer.

That's weird ... when I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, I still have my previous programs, as well as, the Media ... and everything running fine ... I still uses my Media for everything ... nothing like it, by keeping oneself, simple ...

Windows 7 will still be supported until 2020.I did not learn this information until after my upgrade. My computer will probably need replacing before 2020 and I should have left it well alone.I can still use Windows Media Player but the other features such as live TV and the ability to record programming are no longer included by Microsoft.I can go back to 7 if I choose.Windows 10 upgrade is available for free for one year. This is what confused me-I did not know Windows 7 would be fine until 2020.Glad you had no changes affect your programs.I wonder is 10 better than 8.1 ?I honestly prefer 7 over 10.

No doubt I can sure screw up sims.I downgraded back to Windows 7 and Pure Sim which I had downloaded to Windows 10 was gone except for a white icon in my desktop.Lots of work loading 1969 photos to the game lost.I still have the resized pics in a folder though.I think the big feature of Windows 10 is Cortana ( voice recognition) while Windows Explorer has been replaced by Microsoft Edge and Media Player replaced by Groove Music. The Media player is still able to be used in Windows 10 but unless it is hidden somewhere Windows Media Center is gone.I noticed in Windows 7 now there are no live TV schedules. This was one feature Microsoft announced it would no longer support.Windows Explorer is gone also.At least on my computer that is. One question I do have if anyone could answer-Do you have to be on line to play Pure Sim or will it run fine without an Internet connection?
